معراج اول مکسور، پہلے زمانے میں مذکر بھی لکھا گیا ہے۔ شیکسپیئر اور پلیٹس نے اسے مذکر و مؤنث دونوں بتا یا ہے۔ ناسخ ؎ کسی دل تک رسائی ہوسکے تو عرش ہے یہ بھی عزیزو گر نہیں معراج ممکن عرش اعظم کا شیکسپیئر اور پلیٹس کے بیانات کی روشنی بعض لوگوں کا یہ قول غلط ثابت ہوتا ہے کہ ناسخ نے جمہور کے خلاف جاکر’’معراج‘‘ کو مذکر باندھا ہے۔ یہ بات درست ہے کہ اب یہ لفظ تقریباً ہمیشہ مؤنث سنا جاتا ہے۔ میر انیس ؎ کیا عرش الہٰی پہ جگہ آج ملی ہے کاندھے پہ نبی کے ہمیں معراج ملی ہے آج کے عمل کے لحاظ سے ’’معراج‘‘ کو مذکر برتنا غلط ہے۔
