شراکت عام طور پر اول مفتوح کے ساتھ بولا جاتا ہے۔ بعض لوگوں کا خیال ہے کہ یہاں اول مکسور ہونا چاہئے، کیونکہ عربی میں’’شرکت‘‘ اول مکسور کے ساتھ ہے۔ لیکن’’شراکت‘‘ توعربی میں ہے ہی نہیں، اردو فارسی والوں کا بنایا ہوا ہے۔ لہٰذا اس کے تلفظ پرعربی نافذ کرنا بے معنی ہے۔ پلیٹس نے اس لفظ کو فارسی بتایا ہے اور اس خیال سے کہ یہ عربی سے لیا گیا ہے، (حالانکہ یہ استدلال بے معنی ہے) اسے اول مکسور سے لکھا ہے۔ پلیٹس نے یہ بھی لکھا ہے کہ اول مفتوح سے بھی رائج ہے، لیکن یہ تلفظ عامیانہ ہے۔شان الحق حقی نے بھی اول مفتوح لکھا ہے اور کہا کہ ’’اصلاً شِرکت‘‘ [اول مکسور] ہے۔ لیکن واقعہ یہ ہے کہ ’’شرکت‘‘ سے ’’شراکت‘‘ بننے کا کوئی اصول نہیں۔اغلب یہ ہے کہ اردو فارسی والوں نے اسے’’شرافت‘‘ (اول مفتوح) پر قیاس کرلیا ہے۔ ’’آصفیہ‘‘ نے اول مفتوح اور مکسور دونوں صحیح قرار دیا ہے۔ اس کی وجہ غالباً یہ ہے کہ فارسی میں اول مکسور ہے۔ مختصر یہ کہ اب اردو میں اول مفتوح سے رائج ہے اور یہی مرجح بھی ہے۔ اول مکسور کہنے سے خواہ مخواہ شرک کی طرف دھیان جاتا ہے۔
