یورش ترکی میں واؤ معدولہ اور سوم مضموم کے ساتھ اس لفظ کا تلفظ ’’یُرُش‘‘ بروزن ’’پُرُش‘‘ ہے۔ اردو میں واؤ معدولہ اور حرف سوم کے ساتھ ’’یُرِش‘‘ بروزن ’’خورش‘‘ صحیح اور رائج تلفظ ہے۔ بعض کا قول ہے کہ اردو/ترکی میں اس کا صحیح املا واؤ معدولہ کے بغیر ’’یرش‘‘ ہے۔ اس کی کوئی سند نہیں۔ واؤ معدولہ اس لفظ میں اعراب بالحرف کا کام کر رہی ہے۔اردو کے لوگ اسے’’یورش‘‘ (واؤ ملفوظ و معروف، سوم مکسور) بھی بولتے ہیں۔ یہ تلفظ اس قدر مروج ہے کہ اسے بھی صحیح قرار دینے میں کوئی قباحت نہیں، بلکہ امکان ہے کہ کچھ مدت میں ’’یورش‘‘ (واؤ ملفوظ و معروف، سوم مکسور) ہی ہرطرف رائج ہوجائے گا۔
