راشی اردو میں یہ لفظ ’’رشوت لینے والا‘‘ کے معنی میں مستعمل ہے۔ بعض لوگوں کا کہنا ہے کہ رشوت لینے والے کوعربی میں’’مرتشی‘‘ کہتے ہیں، نہ کہ’’راشی‘‘، لہٰذا ’’راشی‘‘ کوترک کرنا چاہئے۔ لیکن ظاہر ہے کہ ہمارا سروکار اردو سے ہے، عربی سے نہیں۔ اردو کے لئے یہ لفظ مہند بالعربی ہے اور’’رشوت لینے والا‘‘ کے معنی میں بالکل درست ہے۔ ’’مرتشی‘‘ اردو میں شاید ہی کوئی بولتا یا لکھتا ہو، لیکن اگر کسی نے لکھا، یا بولا، تو اس نے اردو میں عربی کی ملاوٹ کی۔ دیکھئے’’عادی‘‘۔
