لاچار بعض لوگوں کا خیال ہے کہ جس طرح ’’لا پروا‘‘ غلط ہے اسی طرح ’’لا چار‘‘ بھی غلط ہے۔ حقیقت یہ ہے کہ دونوں لفظ اردو کے ہیں، ان کو عربی یا فارسی قاعدے سے جانچنا غلط ہے۔ یہ درست کہ ’’لا‘‘ عربی ہے اور’’چار‘‘ دیسی، لہٰذا عربی کی رو سے’’لاچار‘‘ درست نہیں، لیکن ہماری بحث اردو سے ہے، عربی سے نہیں۔ ملحوظ رہے کہ ’’ناچار‘‘ بھی درست ہے۔ لیکن آج کل ’’لا چار/لاچاری‘‘ زیادہ رائج معلوم ہوتے ہیں۔
