ذریعہ فعل مجہول کے شوق میں ہمارے اخبار اور بعض ’’ادیب‘‘ بھی یوں لکھنے لگے ہیں: غلط اور مکروہ: پولیس کے ذ ریعہ چلائی گئی گولی۔۔۔ غلط اور مکروہ: حکومت کے ذریعہ دیئے گئے بیان۔۔۔ غلط اور مکروہ: اس کے ذریعہ لکھے گئے خط۔۔۔ غلط اور مکروہ: حزب مخالف کے ذریعہ لگایا گیا الزام۔۔۔ ان اور ان کی طرح کے اور استعمالات میں کراہیت تو ہے ہی، ان کے معنی بھی درست نہیں۔ مثلاً، پہلے فقرے میں کہنا چاہا ہے کہ ’’گولی جو پولیس نے چلائی‘‘، لیکن کہا گیا ہے’’گولی جو کسی اور شخص نے پولیس کو ذریعہ بنا کر چلوائی‘‘۔ یا پھر اس کے معنی یہ ہیں کہ پولیس نے گولی خود نہیں چلائی بلکہ کسی اور نے پولیس کے کہنے پر چلائی۔ اگرصیغۂ مجہول پر اصرار ہو تو مندرجہ بالا فقروں کو یوں ہونا چاہئے: پولیس کی گولی/پولیس کی چلائی ہوئی گوئی۔۔۔ حکومت کے بیان۔۔۔ اس کے لکھے ہوئے خط۔۔۔ حزب مخالف کاالزام۔۔۔ ملحوظ رہے کہ ’’گئی/گئے/گیا‘‘ کی جگہ ’’ہوئی/ہوئے‘‘ کہتے، جو انسب ہے، تو’’کے ذریعہ‘‘ کا فقرہ خودبخود رفع ہوجاتا۔
