- रिवाज के विरुद्ध काम, शायरी का एक ऐब जिसकी व्याख्या इन शब्दों में बयान की गई है, कि फ़ारसी और उर्दू की शायरी में जो बहरें प्रचलित हैं उनमें से कुछ की विशेषता यह है कि पढ़ने में मिस्रा के दो टुकड़े हो जाया करते हैं, ऐसे तमाम शेर में अगर मिसरों के टुकड़े अलग-अलग न हों बल्कि ऐसा हो कि किसी शब्द या जुम्ले का एक भाग एक टुकड़े में और दूसरा भाग दूसरे टुकड़े में अनिवार्य रूप से आता हो तो ये बात यक़ीनन ऐबदार समझी जाएगी और शाएर की कमज़ोरी पर दलालत करेगी
