سیف بازی کے ایک ٹھاٹ کا نام جس میں حریف کے سامنے ایسے پینترے سے کھڑے ہوتے ہیں کہ سیف باز کا جسم لفظ علی کی شکل بنا معلوم ہوتا ہے اور یہی اس دھج کی وجہِ تسمیہ ہے، اس ٹھاٹ پر مقابلہ کرنے والے اصطلاحاً علی مدیے (علیمدے) کہلاتے ہیں، بعض استاد اس ٹھاٹ کو ظفر پیکر کہتے ہیں اور اس کے مختلف نام اور طریقے مقرر کیے ہیں
