راجدھانی ’’دارالحکومت/دارالخلافہ/دارالسلطنت‘‘ کے معنی میں’’راجدھانی‘‘ بالکل ٹھیک ہے۔ لیکن متذکرہ بالا لفظوں کو چھوڑکر صرف ’’راجدھانی‘‘ استعمال کرنا، جیسا کہ آج کل بعض اردو والوں کا وطیرہ ہے،یہ تاثر پیدا کرتا ہے کہ اردو میں’’راجدھانی‘‘ کا مفہوم ادا کرنے والا اور کوئی لفظ ہے ہی نہیں۔ لہٰذا ضروری ہے کہ ’’راجدھانی‘‘ کے ساتھ ’’دارالسلطنت‘‘ وغیرہ بھی کبھی کبھی استعمال میں لائے جاتے رہیں۔
