संज्ञा, पुल्लिंग
- गाड़ी, यान आदि का वह नीचेवाला मख्य आधार जो गोलाकार होता आर धरा पर घूमता है तथा जिसके धुरी पर घूमने पर गाड़ी या यान आगे बढ़ता है।
- पही्या
- यंत्रों आदि में लगा हुआ उक्त प्रकार का गोलाकार चक्कर जिसके घूमने से उस यत्र को कोई क्रिया सम्पन्न होती है। चक्कर। (ह्वील) पुं० पहिआ (पथिक)।
- वाहन में लगा हुआ धातु या लकड़ी का वह गोल चक्का जो अपनी धुरी पर नाचता है और जिसके घूमने पर गाड़ी आगे चलती है; चक्र; चक्कर; (व्हील)।
