- غائبانہ محبت یا ارادت نیز غائبانہ بیعت ، کسی ذریعے کے بغیر رسول اکرم صلی اﷲ علیہ وآلہٰ وسلم سے اخذ ِفیض اور کسب روحانیت کرنا ، آں حضور صلی اﷲ علیہ وآلہٰ وسلم سے براہ ِراست استفادہ کرنے کا تعلق پیدا ہونا ، (حضرت اویس قرنی کو سرور ِکائنات صلی اﷲ علیہ وآلہٰ وسلم سے غائبانہ عشق پیدا ہوا ، جب آپ کے پاس یہ خبر پہنچی کہ غزوۂ احد میں آنحضرت صلی اﷲ علیہ وآلہٰ وسلم کا دندان ِمبارک شہید ہو گیا تو آپ نے اپنے تمام دانت توڑ ڈالے یہ سوچ کر نہ معلوم (حضور صلی اﷲ علیہ وآلہٰ وسلم کا) کون سا دانت شہید ہوا ہے ، چونکہ حضرت اویس قرنی ؓنے حضور صلی اﷲ علیہ وسلم کو نہیں دیکھا تھا لہٰذا نادیدہ عقیدت یا بیعت یا نسبت کو کہتے ہیں) ۔
