خود رو جودرخت یا پودے آپ سے آپ اگیں یعنی جن کا بیج کسی نے ڈالا نہ ہو، انھیں ’’خود رو‘‘ کہتے ہیں۔ اس لفظ کا صحیح تلفظ واؤ معروف سے بروزن ’’گلرو‘‘ ہے۔ بعض لوگ واؤ مجہول سے بروزن ’’خوشگو‘‘ بولتے ہیں۔ یہ تلفظ بھی درست ہے۔ بعض لوگ رائے مہملہ کو مفتوح ادا کرکے ’’رو‘‘ کو بروزن ’’سَو‘‘ بولتے ہیں۔ یہ تلفظ درست نہیں ہے او ر ابھی پوری طرح رائج نہیں ہوا ہے، لہٰذا ’’آپ سے آپ اگنے والا پیڑ/پودا‘‘ کے معنی اس لفظ کو بروزن ’’گلرو/خوشگو‘‘ ہی بولنا چاہئے۔ ہاں’’آپ سے آپ چلنے والا‘‘ کے معنی میں ’’خود رو‘‘ بروزن ’’کچھ سَو‘‘ بالکل ٹھیک ہے۔
