خاصا ’’زیادہ‘‘ کے معنی میں، لیکن زور دینے کے موقعے پر بولتے ہیں۔ اس کی دو صورتیں ہیں، ایک تو تنہا صرف، اور دوسرا ’’اچھا‘‘ کے سابقے کے ساتھ۔ مثلاً: خاصا روپیہ لگا دیا لیکن کچھ حاصل نہ ہوا۔ خاصا شکؤوں کا دفتر سا کھول دیا۔ اچھا خاصا کام بگاڑ دیا۔ اچھے خاصے دوست کو گنوا دیا۔ اسی طرح ’’خاصی‘‘ ’’خاصے‘‘ بھی ’’زیادہ‘‘ کے معنی میں، لیکن زور دینے کے موقعے پر بولتے ہیں اور اس کی بھی دووصورتیں ہیں۔ مثلاً: خاصی کوشش کے بعد ان کا گھر ملا۔ خاصی قیمتی چیز تھی۔ اچھی خاصی صورت بگاڑ ڈالی۔ خاصے انتظار کے بعد پتہ چلا۔ دونوں کو الٹ بھی سکتے ہیں، یعنی’’اچھا/اچھی/اچھے‘‘ کو ’’خاصا/خاصی/خاصے‘‘ کے بعد بھی لا سکتے ہیں۔ مثلاً ’’اچھا خاصا‘‘ کو ’’خاصا اچھا‘‘ بھی کہہ سکتے ہیں لیکن اس طرح بعض اوقات معنی بدل جاتے ہیں۔ لہٰذا اس بات کا خیال ضروری ہے کہ کس مطلب کو ادا کرنا منظور ہے: ’’اچھی خاصی دوری‘‘، یعنی بہت دوری، قابل ذکر دوری۔ مثلاً ’’مدرسہ میرے گھر سے اچھی خاصی دوری پر تھا۔‘‘ ’’اچھی خاصی کوشش‘‘، یعنی ایسا عمل جسے پوری طرح ’’کوشش‘‘ کا نام دے سکتے ہیں۔ مثلاً: ’’ریل کا ٹکٹ یوں ہی نہیں مل جاتا، اچھی خاصی کوشش کرنی پڑتی ہے۔‘‘ ’’خاصی اچھی دوری‘‘، یعنی قابل ذکر دوری۔ مثلاً’’ شیر ابھی ہم سے خاصی اچھی دوری پر تھا۔‘‘ ’’خاصی اچھی کوشش‘‘، یعنی قابل ذکر کوشش۔ مثلاً’’ ان کی کوشش خاصی اچھی تھی لیکن پوری طرح کارگر نہ ہوئی۔‘‘ ’’خاصا/خاصی/خاصے‘‘کو زور کلام کے لئے کامیابی سے استعمال کرنے کے لئے زبان کے مزاج سے واقفیت ضروری ہے۔ بعض حالات میں ’’اچھا/اچھی/اچھے‘‘ کے ساتھ ’’خاصا/ خاصی /خاصے‘‘ کچھ زیادہ متعین معنی دیتے ہیں۔ مثلاً: (۱)مصرع حفیظ جالندھری : اور کسے جینا کہتے ہیں اچھا خاصا جی تو رہا ہوں۔ یعنی ٹھیک سے، تندرستی کے ساتھ۔ (۲)آنگن کو اچھی خاصی سڑک بنا ڈالا۔ یعنی پوری طرح۔ (۳)کسی نے کہا آپ بیمار تھے۔ آپ تو اچھے خاصے ہیں۔ یعنی تندرست ہیں۔ (۴) منے میاں تو اچھے خاصے حکیم ہیں۔ یعنی کم و بیش بالکل
