दुनिया के उलटे ढंग पर कहावत है कि गड़ी हुई वस्तु को भी गाड़ी कहते हैं और चलती हुई को भी, ओखली उखड़ी हुई वस्तु को कहते हैं जबकि वो गड़ी होती है, यह उल्टी बात है कि जो चीज़ चलती है उसे गाड़ी कतहे हैं और जो गड़ी हुई होती है उसे उखड़ी हुई कहते हैं, गाड़ी उसी समय तक कहलाती है जब तक चले और जो चीज़ गड़ जाए उसे ओखली कहते हैं, अर्थात जब तक काम चले अच्छी बात है, रुक जाए तो अच्छा नहीं होता
विशेष • केवल 'चलती का नाम गाड़ी' भी कहते हैं जिसका अर्थ दूसरा होता है; अर्थात जिसकी चल जाए, वही सब कुछ है, बाकी टापा करें। उखड़ी- ओखली।
